The Rapiscan Eagle MSCS6000 is a locally mobile 6 MV X-ray imaging system for inspecting cargo containers and vehicles. Its powerful X-ray source penetrates 375 mm of steel, the highest penetration of any mobile system. The unit scans a 20-foot container in less than 30 seconds or a line of containers one after the other. High quality X-ray images are immediately available to an inspector riding on the Rapiscan Eagle MSCS6000 or can be wirelessly transmitted to a nearby control room. This user friendly system meets US and international radiation safety standards and is safe to operate even in a crowded seaport or border crossing. Because radiation shielding is built into the unit, it has a smaller radiation exclusion zone than less powerful mobile X-ray inspection systems.
With its three steering modes, the Rapiscan Eagle MSCS6000 is highly maneuverable. As a result, the unit easily moves to different locations within an inspection site, such as a seaport. It can also be readily disassembled, shipped by truck and reassembled at a different inspection site.
